So, for the first time in awhile, I tried to work on a painting that I started a few weeks ago. The painting was initially created in gouche, which is a medium I’m not very accustomed to. Things were going fairly well, though. Then, I attempted to use acrylics because I can’t paint in oils in this space. It went wrong. I’m guessing it’s because acrylics tend to make me less optimistic with its fast-drying qualities (note: have not worked in acrylics in more than year) and its the color of the paint that come in the tubes. More flat, less deep than oils.

Anyway, dont want to make too many excuses. I’ll try again tomorrow and, if the painting goes right, I will certainly post a picture up. I’m hoping also to give myself a small digital project now that I’ve gotten myself a sweet Wacom Intuos4 tablet. So many possibilities! But only if I get into a work groove.
