Nuit Étoilée Sur Le Rhône - Vincent Van Gogh (1888) I saw this at the MoMA about two years ago. I really loved it. I think it’s one of Van Gogh’s most beautiful pieces. It always come to mind when I’m walking by a river or lake, lightened by the city’s buildings, as depicted in this work. For me, it reminds me of those moments when I question when art mimics life, followed by the wonderful realization of what life cannot mimic from art. Additionally, the texture of this painting is phenomenal. Really wonderful.
